Prey species make behavioral decisions to reduce the perceived risk of predation and the time spent vulnerable to predation. Behavioral responses to predators are for example selection of specific habitat types and the presence of predators influence individual vigilance. Furthermore, there is a variation in feeding niches with different herbivores focusing their foraging effort on different vegetation types which is also expected to affect the choice of habitat. Behavioral data on anti-predation and foraging behavior at on waterhole is collected from Thomson?s and Grant?s gazelles at Ol Pejeta Conservancy (0°00?N, 36°56?E) located in semiarid bushed grassland in Laikipia district of central Kenya.

Accounting firms operate in environments with high competition for graduates and students today expect employers to be present on Facebook and the like. We aim to describe whether two major accounting firms use social media in their graduate recruitment. We chose to do case studies of Grant Thornton and Ernst & Young and how they use social media channels aimed towards graduates. Through a through study of how the two companies communicated through various social media, we concluded that Grant Thornton was significantly better than their larger competitor at social media use. Both companies use Facebook as their main communication channel.

De företag som gått in i ett tillväxtsstadium borde ha ett större behov av de tjänster en styrelse kan tillföra. Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är att redogöra för vilken funktion styrelsen har i ägarledda småföretag. Detta ska utvecklas med att jämföra gasellföretags och mössföretags styrelser för att studera om gasellföretag tycks göra något mer utöver den styrelsefunktion som de enligt lag är skyldiga att ha. Studien ska visa om gasellföretagens styrelse stämmer överens med styrelseteoriernas rekommendationer. Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvantitativ metod med en deduktiv ansats. Resultaten bygger på en enkätundersökning som har skickats ut via e-post till ett urval ägarledda småföretag i regionen Småland och öarna. Slutsatser: Vi har kommit fram till att styrelsen i ägarledda småföretag fyller en viss funktion.

1st of may 2003, a new energy system based on electricity certificates, was initiated in Sweden. The purpose with this system, is to stimulate an enlargement of energy production from renewable sources. During the early Middle Ages beech forests (Fagus sylvatica L.) spread out over large parts of southern Sweden. They had a crucial role in human survival for hundreds of years. For various reasons, the beech forest area has decreased since the 1600s. Spruce planted on former beech forest land was the primary reason for the decline during the second half of the 1900s, which made many worried about the future of the beech forests and led to a beech forest act in 1974. This study describes the background to the beech forest act based on parliamentary official documents.

This master's thesis asks two main questions concerning the history of the City and UniversityLibrary of Gothenburg: what was the prevailing view of the library and its role? Whateconomic support did the library receive and from whom?By critically examining extensive source material mainly from the library archives and cityand state records, these conclusions are drawn: the City and University Library was regardedas a purely scientific library by all involved except the state as early as the 1920s.
